I would go as far to say it’s not really fit for purpose given the intended occupants are not clean eaters.Coming from a musical background DJ Supa D started djing at the age of 13. Like I said we’ve persevered with this chair for over a year now but I genuinely wish I hadn’t. To top it off you can’t just easily remove the cushion to clean the frame because the straps are so impossible to remove from both but of course these two with buckles also get caked in food and are impossible to clean in situ. So many nooks and crannies, little sunken grooves that collect food. The plastic frame you might think is surely easy to clean! Think again. The stitching is poor and has started to come appart also. If you try anything more than a near dry damp cloth the foam inside gets wet and discoloures the cushion terribly. So if your little one spills any liquid you can’t properly clean it. Ease to clean! It is horrific to clean, impossible! The cushion which is advertised as easy wipe down can only be wiped down by a damp cloth. The plus sides (sturdy, push button instant release belts, comfortable recline), are all completely overshadowed by the poor design of the most fundamental features of a high chair. We bought this just over a year ago and of all the baby equipment we’ve researched and bought, this by far is the one we regret the most. It's not THE seat that some make it out to be. As it is, I would not really recommend it over others. But if I'd paid £60-70 for it I'd be happy. And overall the construction, and adjustment of seat and foot rest tilt, definitely have a creaky and plastic-y FEEL, which is why my wife and I felt on putting it together that nearly £130 was way too expensive, whimsical seat patterns or not. red berries - 10 months on, ours has brown stains all over it and looks like Father Jack's chair, from Father Ted. The material is wipeable, but also really absorbs food colours, e.g. The legs lock fine but have a slightly rickety feel when you jiggle them. The whole chair slides very easily on carpet and laminate - I am very surprised why no rubber feet are included. It would also have been good to have a higher barrier on the sides of the tray because the baby often easily swipes finger food off the sides and on the floor. ![]() The tray is fiddly to put on, it doesn't slide on smoothly and needs to be jiggled while taking care not to trap the baby's fingers - I swear at it in my head every time (and now 10 months later the right side is really sticking when I slide it in). The minuses are about the construction, and whether that's worth the price. The basics - yes, our child is safely strapped in, and the closing mechanism feels secure (although it's very easy to slip off the shoulder straps, the waist/crotch belt keeps them in place and isn't really possible to wriggle out of). In my opinion this is a pretty good but overpriced high chair. ![]()
